Check out the basic eligibility criteria for different levels of teaching below:

Eligibility for Nursery Level School Teaching: Candidates should clear Class 12th in any stream from a recognised board. Apart from this, candidates should also study Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) programme.

Eligibility for Primary School Level Teaching: For primary school (classes 1st to 5th) teaching, candidates should clear graduation with minimum 50% - 60% marks from a recognsied university. Apart from this, candidates should also possess a B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) degree in primary level.

OR

Candidates should clear Class 12th in any stream with at least 50% - 60% marks from a recognised board. Along with this, candidates should also possess a B.El.Ed (Bachelor of Elementary Education) degree.

OR

Academic qualification:

  1. The candidate has to pass or appear in 10+2 during 2018-19 final exam or equivalent are eligible to appear for the entrance test. But, the candidate should pass the exam by the time of admission.
  2. The candidate who has passed the class 10+2 will be eligible for Delhi DIET 2020.
  3. The applicants must pass with 50% of marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam for Delhi DIET 2020. The candidate who belongs to Schedule caste, Scheduled Tribe and Physically challenged candidates must pass with a minimum 45% of marks.

It is informed to applicants to read instructions from the information brochure carefully before applying the application form. Candidates who fail to fulfill any eligibility criteria will be disqualified from the exam. Therefore, it is needed that the applicant fulfills all the eligibility criteria. Eligibility criteria of Delhi DIET 2020 are mention below.

Age Limit: The applicant must not more than 24 years as on 30 September 2020.

Eligibility for Middle School Level Teaching: For middle school (classes 6th to 8th) teaching, candidates should clear graduation with minimum 50% - 60% marks from a recognsied university. Apart from this, candidates should also obtain a B.Ed degree.

Eligibility for High School Level Teaching: For high school (classes 9th to 12th) teaching, candidates should clear post-graduation from a recognsied university with at least 50%-60% aggregate marks. Apart from this, candidates should also possess a B.Ed degree.

Eligibility for College/ University Level Teaching: To become a lecturer in colleges and universities candidates should possess a post-graduation or doctorate degree from a recognsied university. Apart from this, candidates should also clear UGC NET exam.
